How would you describe your music?
Jazzy, rappy and soulful with elements of reggae, spoken word and my Persian heritage.

What was your reaction to the news you’d be playing the FSN final?
I was very surprised. The competition is tough with a lot of worthy artists in Nottingham.

What can the Rock City crowd expect from your performance?
I'll be dancing and having fun, with a never before seen set up, and unreleased material.

Why did you enter FSN?
To push myself and prove that I take myself seriously, but also for a laugh and to see how far I get!

Who are your biggest musical influences?
Ella Fitz Gerald, Lauryn Hill, Anita Baker, Donny Hathaway, Kendrick Lamar, Mos Def, Bob Marley and his sons, Michael Jackson and many more.

What Nottingham artists are you loving at the minute?
I run Acoustickle which spotlights hundreds of emerging Nottingham artists every year, and they're all incredible, but if I had to pick a handful: Tracy Luvv, Alex Mighten, 80p & Chewsday, and my fellow FSN contestant MEGS.

What are your biggest non-musical influences?
The Most High, vibration, nature, words, food, dance, and Persian history.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
This year I've grown in strength, love and respect internally and from the people around me. That feeling is a highlight and motivates me to keep on.

Any last words for LeftLion?
Thank you for giving local people a platform. Thank you Nusic and partners for supporting Nottingham talent.

The Future Sound of Nottingham final will take place on 2 July. No tickets or booking required. Crowd participation is part of the final vote.
