LeftLion To Put Readers On 20th Birthday Cover

LeftLion Magazine is twenty years old this year. Our 20th Birthday Issue will be a special issue, out in September 2023, and put together by founding editor Jared Wilson working alongside the current team. In that issue we are planning to take a nostalgic look over the last twenty years of both LeftLion and the changes we have overseen in Nottingham culture over that time.

This issue will also feature a wraparound front and back cover. Readers can get their name listed on the back cover by signing up to support LeftLion with a small donation. All supporters signed up to support packages of £5 or above on Tuesday 2 August 2023 will have their names featured on there.

We at LeftLion magazine have never charged for our content or for copies of our magazine – and we have no plans to do so in future. Our core income has been generated for the last two decades from commercial advertising. However, as print advertising revenues continue to fall nationally and the cost of production rises, the revenue donated by our supporters through has become an increasingly important part of what makes us able to continue and hopefully be here in another twenty years. 

We've been asking for supporters on our Patreon page since it was first launched in July 2020. People who sign up to support us on there also get:

• A digital copy of our magazine sent over before it's available in town or on our website
• Exclusive patreon-only content each month
• Their name printed in each issue (or the name of a loved one, your band, your small business etc) - usually on page 4. 
• A printed copy delivered to their door each month
