What? Leeds lass and self-taught singer-songwriter Hannah Trigwell has been making a name for herself all over the world, with two number-one singles in Asia and over 100 million views on YouTube. Now she’s touring the UK performing her debut album RED; a collection of 14 acoustic-driven electro pop songs, from the catchy single Taboo, to the more sentimental ballad Is it Wrong? But far from just a pop queen, she's bob-on with a guitar. She even created the independent record label TeaPot Records to help up-and-comers to make their own kind of music. Support on the night will be from Notts-based talent acoustic Italian duo Ventiduo and angelic-voiced local lass Chloe Rodgers. Get dahn duck.

What? Yes, you read that right. Paul Harrison, was one of the first British policeman to work with the FBI Behavioral Science Unit. His job was to interact with and analyse some of the worst criminals humanity has churned out. He’ll be giving a fascinating insight, into the mind of these killers, in what promises to be a rollercoaster evening.

Our mates at Nusic are putting on a workshop and advice fair where you’ll be able to get advice from music industry experts on how to get media exposure for your music. Think fresher’s fair for musicians with speakers such as Andrew Trendall, Senior News Editor at NME and many more.

Some Things Launch

What? Panya Banjoko is a spoken-word poet, writer, one of the founders of the Nottingham Black Archive, and all round clever Trevor with a right-vibrant live-performance game. She was facilitator for Mouthy Poets, the Notts-based collective of youths learning to write and perform poetry that sadly had its last hurrah in 2017. Radical independent bookshop Five Leaves is all abaht supporting dissenting and non-conformist literature and poetry, and they’re putting on this launch for Banjoko’s latest book Some Things, a poetry collection about being a first-generation Caribbean person born in Britain. With themes of immigration, race and culture at its core, Banjoko's collection bears the message: "Despite injustice, there is hope for redemption."

What? Artist Joe McAlister will be showing off his unique interactive experiences at Broadway, and the preview is on Thursday at 6pm. The artwork will include generative artwork made by bots and interactive installations, exploring the spread of misinformation and the data you choose to put online. Well worth a peak.
