Roy Stone Foundation: Bestwood to Hollywood Feat. Doggen’s All Star Live Band

This lot are out there doing their best to support the musical talents of our youf, and help battle the stigma over mental health. For that, we can’t salute them enough. In addition to giving our kids the chance to play their tunes at the Friday Night Project dahn at Southbank City, this weekend they’re proud to present Bestwood to Hollywood, featuring Doggen’s All Star Band plus a line up of other local talent. All proceeds will go towards supporting project in the mental health sector of Nottingham and supporting the young'uns. Keep right on, ducks.

Avalanche Party

This city’s been crying out for a Fuzzbox spesh for a while. For a night of garage, surf and psyche, get yoursen to the Bodega on Saturday for some whacked out freakbeats. The I’m Not From London lads are tekin the reins on this one, and the line up they’ve sorted don’t leave a great deal to be desired. Kicking things off are Future Shinjuku, a band who want nowt more than to spread a message of love and unity, followed by gnarly four piece, TV Crime. Finally Avalanche Party will tek to the stage to satisfy our needs for some garage punk.
Saturday 31 March, 7pm, £5.50, The Bodega, event link

Zoo Project X Discotech

For years, the Zoo Project has been spewing out some of the most creative, out-there and wild parties that Ibiza has ever seen. Unless we forked out hundreds of pahnds for a trip to the white island, we were never gonna get a taste of that fun. But luckily for us, the party experts have teamed up with Discotech to bring Notts a special edition of the project. Along with a full jungle transformation, performers and dancers, glitter and face painting, Red Bar will also play host to some Zoo Project Ibiza legends; DJ’s Lee Pennington and Milou. They’ll be joined by Wiggle LDN’s Eddie Richards for a night we’ll never forget. Or probably forget, when we inevitably have one too many.
Saturday 31 March, 8pm, £15.65, Red Bar, event link
